Congressional Support Builds for the Deschutes River Conservancy

The Deschutes River Conservancy recently met with Congresswoman Janelle Bynum along the banks of the Deschutes to discuss the importance of healthy rivers to our community. Her connection to the river and alignment with our mission were clear: healthy rivers support healthy communities.
Congresswoman Bynum and Senator Jeff Merkley are introducing legislation to reauthorize the Deschutes River Conservancy, enabling us to receive $2 million in annual federal funding. This follows strong bipartisan support during last year’s legislative session and marks a significant step forward for river restoration in Central Oregon.
We appreciate their leadership and commitment to protecting the Deschutes for future generations.
